IRN is a reliable source of usable furniture and other materials. IRN manages hundreds of cleanouts every year, providing access to residential, medical, business, and school furniture and supplies. We can supply as little as a truckload, or hundreds of truckloads a year.
Our recipients need surplus for disaster relief, for group homes and halfway houses, for homeless families, for economic development in the U.S. and overseas. But it’s hard to make a match to find the right generator with the right stuff in the right place at the right time.
IRN works with corporations, education, and healthcare institutions across the country to redeploy surplus furniture, office and school furnishings, scientific and medical equipment, and building materials.
We’re not liquidators; we don’t cherry pick the best and try to dump the rest. Our mission is to match usable surplus of all sorts with charitable organizations that use it in disaster relief and development projects.
in 2010 we managed about five million pounds of surplus, over 360 trailers and shipping containers. Through a network of dozens of nonprofits, this material was provided to relief and development projects in eleven U.S. states and eighteen foreign countries.
These materials are available to IRN’s charitable partners at no cost. We ask only that the user absorb the cost of transportation and ultimate distribution. The generating organization pays all costs to remove and load the surplus. IRN assures that the surplus meets the recipient’s standards for quality and composition, and handles all logistics and paperwork. It’s a simple, turnkey process.
