Last August 15 IRN – The Reuse Network filled two Maersk shipping containers with 322 student desks, 85 chairs, and 12 teacher’s desks. They departed California on August 25 aboard the MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company container ship Rifaya. After unloading at the port of Djibouti, they were treated to a 13-hour drive across the desert to Addis Ababa, where they arrived just after New Year’s. And where they will give generations of kids a better chance at a good education, for many years to come.
